Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure intended for the enhancement of eyebrows by giving the illusion of hair. It is a great option for people desiring a natural brow look where they have over-plucked, do not have an ideal brow shape/arch, or have areas of missing hair. Microblading is not meant to change the color of your natural brow hair, produce a fake-looking “filled-in” result, or replace the need for brow powder.
The procedure consists of implanting pigment into the basal layer of the epidermis of the brows via very fine incisions. Typical healing time is one week. In the first week, the brow color may appear darker and sharper than normal, but will gradually fade about 50% over time.
While microblading lasts up to a year on the average patient, individual skin types and routine skin care play a role in how long a patient will retain the pigment. Patient results will also vary based on skin texture, oiliness, natural healing processes, and post-procedure care at home.
This advanced procedure is done in our state-of-the-art office and only requires topical numbing cream. After the initial procedure a touch-up may be needed to maintain the results of microblading.
